This series was created due to a common denominator between the three books: they have all been banned at some point. My challenge was to create covers that were both true to each story and arresting to the viewer, while maintaining consistency with one another. Each cover features an illustration of a mixed metaphor with smaller characters and details interacting with the theme of the story. The three classic novels are To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, The Call of the Wild by Jack London, and The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck.
